Meet Beyond the Title:
What You Don’t See Matters
Beyond the Title expands from a small pop-up experience into an interactive digital platform. Originally a mobile styling truck designed as a low-pressure space for women navigating societal expectations, the project now reaches a wider audience online while challenging surface-level recognition by revealing untold narratives, exposing gaps in visibility, and encouraging a more informed, critical perspective.
My Approach
What we present on the surface often hides the realities we navigate daily. Beyond the Title explores the internal weight of procrastination, perfectionism, burnout, and self-doubt, creating space for honesty, reflection, and deeper understanding.
I aimed to develop a cohesive experience that feels engaging, introspective, and adaptable across both physical and digital platforms. Through bold typography, layered compositions, and editorial-style layouts, the work balances clarity with emotional depth, making invisible struggles visible and challenging the pressure to appear “put together.”
Exploration
Using the Discover, Define, Develop, and Deliver framework, I began by documenting physical barriers like gates and fences, which led me to explore deeper themes of personal boundaries and what exists beneath the surface.
Direction
Guided by “How Might We” questions, the project evolved into a reflective experience focused on breaking internal limitations, encouraging self-awareness, and creating space for personal growth.
